Hearst Pier 3x
Description
Another shot of my favorite pier at Hearst State Beach in San Simeon, CA after sunset. I keep reshooting this composition - I'm not sure why. Something about it grabs me. I had planned to try this in HDR for a while so I shot this with three separate exposures tonemapped later in Photomatix.

Boxcars
Description
I came here to get some motion shots of the trains that usually zoom through this spot near the Cajon Pass in San Bernardino, CA. But this train decided to stop for some reason. So I wanted to see what a HDR still would look like.

Rainbow Falls and Snow
Description
This shot of Rainbow Falls was made with three exposures (-1, 0, +1) and it's my first attempt at HDR. The light was so harsh and contrasty that I couldn't get a good result with a single shot so I figured I would try it with three.
