Description: I shot this in Sam McDonald County Park near La Honda, CA along Alpine Rd last week. It's kind of a reshoot of an image I shot in 2009. I hand blended three exposures using layer masks (no HDR).

Title: Mesquite Sunrise III
Description: Another favorite shot from Death Valley's Mesquite Dunes after a sand storm hit. That's another photographer who slowly made his way toward to tallest dune from the east (I was on the western side). I was taking shots of him the whole way in order to show scale and knew exactly where he was headed. There were at least two others headed the same way but this guy was making good time - probably because he hardly had any gear. Anyway, I have no idea who this was but I appreciate the fact that he was there.
